Canadian chicken factory workers filmed tearing apart live chickens

Rachel Burford: ‘An undercover animal rights campaigner allegedly filmed live chickens being stamped on and torn apart by factory workers. The disturbing footage, reportedly taken at an Elite Farm Services plant in Chilliwack, Canada, shows people tearing birds limb from limb and simulating sex acts with them. The company claims six employees have been fired since the video… came to light. The Canadian Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals (SPCA) has now launched an investigation , reports The Vancouver Sun. Dwayne Dueck, president of Elite Farm Services said: ‘We are sickened with the footage and want to ensure all our suppliers and producers that this is not reflective of who we are, our fundamental beliefs or behaviour we accept from our employees.’ The Mercy for Animals volunteer who got the job with the company claims they witnessed animal abuse ‘pretty much immediately’ after starting work… Lindsay Wolf, vice-president of investigations for Mercy for Animals, said: The abuse started pretty much immediately after the whistleblower started working at this facility.
